Competing in the 4th International Curlers' Gathering in Edinburgh (Murrayfield), the Ice Melters CC wins three and loses three games in this 36 team event (squad: Carola Fromm, Steve Fromm, George Congalton and Danny Russell). Official final standings have yet to be released.

18-20 January 2008

Playing in the 13th Grond Premi da Scuol, the Ice Melters CC finishes 25th out of 30 teams winning one and losing three games (team: Steve Fromm, Pete Braithwaite, Steve Scanlan and skipped by Sandra Moorcroft).

12-15 July 2007

Competing in the 43rd International Summer Bonspiel in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, an Ice Melters CC squad (of Jon Carl Rizzi, Serina Campbell, Tino Andri, Markus Solinger, Steve Fromm, Carola Fromm and Naomi Dobinson) wins three, draws one and loses two games to finish 12th of the 48 teams taking part.

In the final day of competition in Luxembourg, the Ice Melters CC team loses its final game against Heaven Maiden of mixed nationality 4-8 (team: Carola Fromm, Steve Fromm, Pete Braithwaite and skipped by Steffen Schröder) and finish 10th out of the 14 teams competing.

With one team member ill, the Ice Melters CC is forced to play their third and fourth games in the Coupe de l'Amité with just three players losing 3-11 to Dompebleden Girls of The Netherlands before defeating Utrecht Mixed of The Netherlands 4-3 (team for both games: Steve Fromm, Pete Braithwaite and skipped by Steffen Schröder).

Playing in the Coupe de l'Amité (Luxembourg) for the first time, the Ice Melters CC opens its campaign with an 11-2 win against Peckvillercher of Luxembourg followed by a 3-8 defeat to CaNeBe of mixed nationality (team for both games: Carola Fromm, Steve Fromm, Pete Braithwaite and skipped by Steffen Schröder).

In the last day of competition in Edinburgh, the Ice Melters CC team loses its final two games (3-10 to West Linton of Scotland and 2-4 to the eventual champions, Oakville Canucks of Canada) to finish 4th out of the 28 teams competing (team for both games: Carola Fromm, Steve Fromm, George Congalton and skipped by Danny Russell).

Also in the last day of competition in Tunbridge Wells, the Ice Melters CC team loses its final game 3-6 against Team Lumsden of England to finish 8th out of the 8 teams competing (team: Mark Le-Faye, Alan Morris, Stella Bramley and skipped by Chris Munns).

In Edinburgh, the Ice Melters CC team wins its first game of the day (9-6 v Cool Dudes of Scotland) to lead the field of 28 teams at the event's half-way stage.  However, later in the day, the team loses 3-5 to Musketeers of Scotland (team for both games: Carola Fromm, Steve Fromm, George Congalton and skipped by Danny Russell).

In Tunbridge Wells, the club loses two extremely close games (both of which were 5-5 after 7 ends) 5-7 v Team Robinson of England (team: Mark Le-Faye, Stella Bramley, Alan Morris and skipped by Andrew Dodd) and 5-8 against Team Sutherland of Scotland (team: Alan Morris, Stella Bramley, Chris Munns and skipped by Andrew Dodd).

Competing in the 2nd International Curlers' Gathering in Edinburgh, the Ice Melters CC team makes a fine start to the competition winning its first two games, 6-4 against Mid Calder of Scotland and 14-1 against Merchiston of Scotland (team for both games: Carola Fromm, Steve Fromm, George Congalton and skipped by Danny Russell).

Meanwhile at Fenton's Rink in Tunbridge Wells, the Ice Melters CC team competing in the 1st Ramada English Masters 'cashspiel' loses its first game 2-11 to Team MacDougall of England (team: Mark Le-Faye, Alan Morris, Andrew Dodd and skipped by Chris Munns).

The Ice Melters CC defeat Tonbridge Curlers 9-7 (after trailing 1-7 after three ends) in a 'challenge' game as preparation for the forthcoming Ramada English Masters event (team: Mark Le-Faye, Stella Bramley, Chris Munns and skipped by Andrew Dodd).

Boosted by excellent TV coverage of the Winter Olympics from Turin (Torino), the Ice Melters Curling Club's website receives 500 unique visits in a single day for the first time since its launch in June 2003.

The Ice Melters CC team completes its schedule in Scuol with an 8-7 win over CC Wartenberg of Switzerland (in a game officially awarded 8-0 due to late arrival of opponents) to finish 16th out of the 20 teams competing (team: Stella Bramley, Andrew Dodd, Pete Braithwaite and skipped by Steve Fromm).

On the final day of the bonspiel at Fenton's Rink in Tunbridge Wells, the Ice Melters Curling Club plays two sides of mixed nationality losing 5-7 to Chris's Cronies (team: Mark Le-Faye, Carola Fromm, Steve Fromm and skipped by George Congalton) before defeating Not Andorra 8-4 (team: Mark Le-Faye, Chris Munns, Carola Fromm and skipped by Steve Fromm) to finish 11th of the 14 teams competing.

Playing in the First Anniversary International Bonspiel at Fenton's Rink, Tunbridge Wells, England, the Ice Melters Curling Club makes a slow in the competition start losing its first two games 3-10 to Markinch Curling Club of Scotland and then 3-5 to Forbes's Trusties of England (team for both games: Mark Le-Faye, Carola Fromm, Steve Fromm and skipped by George Congalton).

In a successful day on the ice at the bonspiel in Garmisch, the Ice Melters team defeats Bern Gurten of Switzerland 9-6 (after recovering from an early 0-6 deficit) and then draws 5-5 with Victory Budapest of Hungary (team for both games: Stella Bramley, Naomi Dobinson, Andrew Dodd [skip] and fourth, Pete Braithwaite).

A team representing the Ice Melters Curling Club plays its first match in the 41st International Summer Bonspiel in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany.  Although the fixture against SGB Frauen of Switzerland is lost 4-10, the game proves far closer than the final score might suggest (Stella Bramley, Naomi Dobinson, Andrew Dodd [skip] and fourth, Pete Braithwaite).

The Waiting List Company Ice Melters win their final Viry Cup game, defeating Neuchâtel Pocobo of Switzerland 7-2, to finish 25th out of the 28 teams competing (Stella Bramley, Chris Munns, Richard Markoff and skipped by Andrew Dodd).

Curling Supplies Ice Melters lose 2-9 to Genève Fremis of Switzerland and finish in 26th place (Naomi Dobinson, Carola Fromm, Steve Fromm and skipped by Pete Braithwaite).

Curling Supplies Ice Melters defeat Gerrit & Alie of the Netherlands 5-3 (in what is the club's first ever win at the Viry Cup) but then lose 2-7 to Neuchâtel New Castel of Switzerland (team for both games: Naomi Dobinson, Carola Fromm, Steve Fromm and skipped by Pete Braithwaite).

With two teams entered into the 30th Viry Cup in Paris, the club makes it's traditional slow start losing all four games played.

The Waiting List Company Ice Melters lose 2-10 to Fribourg Düningen of Switzerland (team: Stella Bramley, Richard Markoff, Andrew Dodd and skipped by Chris Munns) and then 4-10 to Les Contamines Optraken of France (team: Stella Bramley, Richard Markoff and skipped by Andrew Dodd with Chris Munns injured).

Starting later in the day, Curling Supplies Ice Melters lose 3-20 to the eventual champions, Wengen Jungfrau, and then 2-12 to Neuchâtel Soft Ice, both of Switzerland (team for both games: Naomi Dobinson, Carola Fromm, Steve Fromm and skipped by Pete Braithwaite).

A mixed day on the ice sees the club leave the Murrayfield International Curlers' Gathering with a win-loss record of 3-3 following victory over Iparpolo Men of Spain 7-4 (Mark Le-Faye, George Congalton, Louisa Penny and skipped by Nicola Woodward) and defeat by Perles of Latvia 4-8 (Chris Munns, George Congalton, Louisa Penny and skipped by Nicola Woodward).

The club records its first two victories at the Murrayfield International Curlers' Gathering.  In the morning session 1CC Bratislava of Slovakia are defeated 7-5 while the afternoon session sees a return game win over The Rampant Saltires of Scotland 6-4 (team for both games: Mark Le-Faye, Chris Munns, George Congalton and skipped by Nicola Woodward).

The Waiting List Company Ice Melters (Mark Le-Faye, Carola Fromm, Steve Fromm and skipped by George Congalton) lose 3-9 to Cambridge University and then 4-10 to Team Hinds, while the Design Plus Ice Melters go down 5-13 to Team Guthrie (Stella Bramley, Andrew Dodd, Pete Braithwaite and skipped by Chris Munns) and 7-14 to Team MacDougall (Stella Bramley, Andrew Dodd, Chris Munns and skipped by Pete Braithwaite).

An inexperienced squad of five club members sees two great performances from The Waiting List Company Ice Melters in the latest Superleague event at Fenton's Rink.  

In the morning session, the side (of Mark Le-Faye, Trish Frizzell, Pete Braithwaite and skipped by Chris Munns) is defeated 4-9 by Team Brown in a close and enjoyable encounter.  Then, in the afternoon, the side (of Stella Bramley, Trish Frizzell, Chris Munns and skipped by Pete Braithwaite) defeats Team Robinson 6-5 in a game that goes all the way to the last stone.

Continuing with the weekend's social activities, a group of Ice Melters Curling Club members attend the FA Cup 3rd Round tie between Yeading and Newcastle United (at Loftus Road, the home of QPR).

Two club teams play in the first one-day Fenton's Rink Superleague event.

The Waiting List Company Ice Melters (Mark Le-Faye, Carola Fromm, Steve Fromm and skipped by George Congalton) beat Team Rettig in their first match 8-4 while the Design Plus Ice Melters (Chris Munns, Andrew Dodd, Pete Braithwaite and skipped by Mikael Thuresson) overcome Team Lumsden 6-4.

In what turns out to effectively be the event final, The Waiting List Company Ice Melters then defeat The Design Plus Ice Melters 13-5 to become the inaugural Fenton's Rink Superleague Series Champions!

During the evening, several club members visit London for a celebratory dinner and to see the musical, "We Will Rock You".

The total amount raised from the sponsored flight undertaken in July by Club Secretary, Chris Munns, is announced as £1,100 and donated to the club's nominated charity - the RAF Benevolent Fund (as a joint donation from the Ice Melters Curling Club and Aviatours).

The club's first ever "Club Night" at Fenton's Rink (Tunbridge Wells) is attended by eleven members and guests.

14 November 2004

Another win (7-4 v The Eagles of Scotland) by the Ice Melters CC team (of Carola Fromm, Steve Fromm, Chris Munns and Louisa Penny) competing in the Grand Opening Bonspiel at Fenton's Rink sees the club pick up second place in the Consolation Event (14th place overall out of the 18 competing teams).

Meanwhile, in the Tårnby Cup, in Copenhagen, the Ice Melters CC team (of Corina Rios, Andrew Dodd, Pete Braithwaite and Mikael Thuresson) wins its final game v Team Bambi of Denmark, 13-3, to take 25th place out of the 30 teams competing.

13 November 2004

With both bonspiels continuing, the first competitive win by an Ice Melters CC team is recorded at Fenton's Rink when the team of Carola Fromm, Steve Fromm, Louisa Penny and George Congalton defeat Linda's Lot (Scotland) 7-3.

In the Tårnby Cup, the Ice Melters CC team of Corina Rios, Andrew Dodd, Pete Braithwaite and Mikael Thuresson loses 3-9 to Cool Runnings (Sweden) and then 3-5 to Almost Welsh (International).

Club Secretary, Chris Munns, is interviewed live on BBC Radio Scotland during the morning.

Teams representing the Ice Melters Curling Club compete in both the Grand Opening Bonspiel at Fenton's Rink in Tunbridge Wells, England and the Tårnby Cup in Copenhagen, Denmark.  

In Tunbridge Wells, an Ice Melters CC team (made up of Carola Fromm, Steve Fromm, Chris Munns and Louisa Penny) loses 2-10 to President's Eleven (England) while later in the day, in the same event, the Ice Melters CC loses 3-6 to Gael's Gels of Canada (team: Carola Fromm, Steve Fromm, Louisa Penny and George Congalton).  

In the Tårnby Cup, an Ice Melters CC team loses 2-6 to Angelina Jenson of Denmark (team: Corina Rios, Andrew Dodd, Pete Braithwaite and Mikael Thuresson).

With the kind support of Aviatours, Club Secretary, Chris Munns, agrees to face his phobia of flying and attempt to take a sponsored flight on behalf of the Ice Melters Curling Club's nominated charity, the RAFBF.  Anyone wishing to make a sponsorship pledge can do so via email - please state your name, a contact phone number, and the amount pledged.  The flight is due to take place on Saturday 10 July 2004.

A much improved team performance sees the Ice Melters team win the first three ends (against Strasbourg of France) in its final 2004 Viry Cup game, before eventually losing 12-5, to pick up the "Trophee Pierre de Coubertin".

The Ice Melters Curling Club plays two further games in the 29th Viry Cup, losing 14-2 to Wengen Jungfrau and 13-2 to Sierre Comalin (both of Switzerland).

The club's first competitive fixture (in the 29th Viry Cup in Paris) ends in a 14-0 defeat to Berne Yschbäre of Switzerland.  Later in the day, an improved performance, sees the Ice Melters team beaten 14-5 by Les Moulins Loosers of The Netherlands.

A team representing the Ice Melters Curling Club travels to Paris (courtesy of Eurostar) for the club's first competitive bonspiel as a team in its own right.  Team (for all five matches): Paul Heffernan (lead), Pete Braithwaite (second), Chris Munns (third), Andrew Dodd (skip) and Mark Le-Faye (reserve).
