Charity

The Ice Melters Curling Club makes a point of supporting charity and helping those less fortunate than its own members.  The club's nominated charity is the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund.

RAF Benevolent Fund

The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund exists to provide assistance to those of the extended Royal Air Force Family who need support as a consequence of poverty, sickness, disability, accident, infirmity or other adversity.

RAF Benevolent FundThis extended family embraces all ranks, male and female, who are serving or have served in the Royal Air Force or its associated Air Forces, their widows, widowers and dependants.

The Ice Melters Curling Club aims to organise a fundraising event each season on behalf of the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund and instead of producing our own pin badges (traditional in the curling world) we sell RAFBF pins on behalf of the charity and provide - as a gift - RAFBF pin badges to all opposing curling team members (with a donation being made to the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund for each pin given away).

The Ice Melters Curling Club urges you to visit the official website of the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund and consider making an online donation to this worthy cause.

You can also purchase an RAFBF pin badge for yourself via our membership application & club order form (please email us for further information if you can't read PDF files).  Each badge costs just £2 with every single penny you send us going directly to the charity (we will even pay the postage when sending you your badge).
